Panerai Luminor Submersible 47 3 Days Automatic Carbotech

Pre-owned Luminor Submersible Carbotech ref PAM01616 (2019) debuted in 2019 alongside 42mm ref. PAM 960.  As the larger, more robust of the two, ref. PAM 1616 is the perfect platform to demonstrate the brand's foray into unconventional watch materials, in this case, "Carbotech."  The composite material features compressed layers of carbon fibre that are fused together with a polymer material called PEEK and high heat.  The result is a distinctive black finish that is lighter than titanium and very resistant to corrosion.  The sleek material is made even cooler with bright blue hour markers, hands, and text.  As a Submersible model, ref. PAM 1616 also features a case rated waterproof up to 300 meters/1,000 feet, an oversized crown guard, and a uni-directional bezel calibrated to 60 minutes.
